We offer a range of stainless steel tank bushes with a round body. Available in self colour steel finish and also in zinc plated finish. These are effectively a rivet bush with a closed or sealed end where the application needs a sealed thread. A water tight seal is formed when the tank bush is riveted into the sheet metal.
The length of the required spigot is defined by the thickness of the material. The thicker the material the longer the spigot must be in order to go through the sheet and provide excess material that protrudes through the sheet and can then be peended over. Tank bushes can be installed using either a hammer or a press tool.
A round-bodied tank bush is a type of fastener designed specifically for application in liquid environments and is used to create a secure and watertight connection, it features a round body, often with a threaded exterior for easy installation and is typically made of durable materials such as stainless steel or brass, providing strength and resistance to corrosion.
The primary function of round-bodied tank bushes is to establish a sealed opening in the tank or container, enabling the attachment of various components. They ensure a tight and reliable connection, preventing leaks and maintaining the integrity of the tank.
Stainless steel round-bodied tank bushes find applications in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, chemical processing, and water treatment. They are crucial for facilitating the efficient flow and containment of liquids or gases within tanks or containers.
We stock diameters ranging from M4 to M10 and these are available to suit a range of material thicknesses from 10Gauge (3mm thick) to 18Gauge (1.2mm thick).
